Ride BMX this International Women’s Day at the National Cycling Centre

International Women’s Day – Intro to BMX Sessions will take place at the National Cycling Centre, Manchester, on Sunday 8 March 2026, with four free women-only introductory BMX sessions in the BMX Arena.

Hosted as part of the venue’s International Women’s Day programme, the sessions are aimed at women and girls aged 5+ who can already ride a two-wheel bike. Equipment is provided, including bike, helmet and padding, and each session is limited to 20 riders.

  • Times: 3pm to 4pm, 4pm to 5pm, 5pm to 6pm, 6pm to 7pm
  • Ages: 5+ (must be able to ride a two-wheel bike)

The event forms part of the centre’s wider International Women’s Day activity across the Velodrome and BMX Arena, offering structured, coached opportunities for women and girls to get involved in cycling.
