sun-2500px

The Solstice 100 is a long-distance off-road mountain bike and gravel sportive taking place on 27 June 2026 in Shropshire, timed around the summer solstice and the longest day of the year.

Now in its 11th year, the event moves to Shropshire for 2026, making use of a wide network of bridleways, byways, trail centre sections, forest tracks, and quiet lanes. Riders can choose between a 100 km route or a shorter 50 km option, with the full route delivering around 2,180 m of climbing across varied terrain.

The route is approximately 75% off-road and is suitable for hardtail and full-suspension mountain bikes, with gravel bikes also permitted. eBikes are allowed. Navigation is via GPX files, with OS maps provided to all entrants.

The start and finish are based at a campsite, with an optional camping add-on available for riders arriving the night before or staying on after the event. Feed and water stops are included, along with event insurance and a detailed route pack.
