Western Park Freeride Trails are in Leicester. It is an urban bike park in a park setting.

Tracks

  • Western Park bike tracks suits BMX and dirt bikes. It has a BMX circuit, a large range of tabletops lines like the Mainline line with its six pack, berms, drops, and a pump track. 
  • It is a good place to practice jumping and the community is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Other Stuff

  • Best not to ride when it has been wet weather as it is a clay soil base.
  • The trails are built by volunteers on Council land, are legal, and have not been demolished since 2002. They had their 11th birthday on April 2023 when they also won Cycling Friendly Destination for 2023 in the Leicester Cycle Awards.

A credit to Leicester city.

What do you like?

Amazing little inner city spot with good well maintained jump lines for all abilities to enjoy . Definitely a favourite of mine.

What could be improved?

None I can think of.

Awesome little riding spot within a few mins ride from a city. The place is run by riders and are always around and welcome to help worth popping down amazing place to learn and progress

Unique inner city trails

Inner city gold

What do you like?

The trails are maintained and run by a group of volunteers that are always around to offer advice and help if needed. There is something for everyone here not matter your ability, if you are looking for somewhere to build confidence and learn whilst grinning from ear to ear then western park won't disappoint. More than anything western park has a very friendly atmosphere with riders from all abilities and backgrounds mixing together with only one thing in mind and that's to have fun. You won't find a better spot in Leicester to chill,ride and laugh.

What could be improved?

You do get the odd plonker trying to ride without a helmet and the locals don't like that so make sure take your lid
