Western Park Freeride Trails are in Leicester. It is an urban bike park in a park setting.

Tracks

  • Western Park bike tracks suits BMX and dirt bikes. It has a BMX circuit, a large range of tabletops lines like the Mainline line with its six pack, berms, drops, and a pump track. 
  • It is a good place to practice jumping and the community is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Other Stuff

  • Best not to ride when it has been wet weather as it is a clay soil base.
  • The trails are built by volunteers on Council land, are legal, and have not been demolished since 2002. They had their 11th birthday on April 2023 when they also won Cycling Friendly Destination for 2023 in the Leicester Cycle Awards.

I live down the road and I love it. The guys have worked so hard to make it the place it is today

A great place for all...

If you need to improve your ability to jump this is the place for you

What do you like?

A great place for riders of all styles and ability to either have loads of fun or have a day progressing in ability.. Easy free parking, 2 minutes from a petrol station with a subway and toilets, 2 mi utes across the park there are also toilets, so you can easily make z day of it here with everything you need on hand.. ????

Great trails in Leicester

A great set of trails in the otherwise mountain biking desert that is Leicestershire.

What do you like?

Lots of short trails for all ability levels, with new lines popping up all the time. It's fairly weather resistant and so can be ridden most of the year.

What could be improved?

Trails are all pretty short, but that means you get to session more. No facilities other than bins and benches on site, but it's in the city so there's loads around.

Fantastic

BRILLIANT!!

What do you like?

Fantastic place to ride for all ages and abilities my little by started riding here at the age of 8 and in the last three year has progressed brilliantly that he can now ride the big jumps, maintained very well always clean and tidy. Very friendly locals and people from far and wide. Host a great family entertainment day every year call 'The Western Park Free Riders Summer Jam'. Just an enjoyable place.

What could be improved?

There isnt a bad point I can give as this place as simply brilliant.
