Western Park Freeride Trails are in Leicester. It is an urban bike park in a park setting.

Tracks

  • Western Park bike tracks suits BMX and dirt bikes. It has a BMX circuit, a large range of tabletops lines like the Mainline line with its six pack, berms, drops, and a pump track. 
  • It is a good place to practice jumping and the community is friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Other Stuff

  • Best not to ride when it has been wet weather as it is a clay soil base.
  • The trails are built by volunteers on Council land, are legal, and have not been demolished since 2002. They had their 11th birthday on April 2023 when they also won Cycling Friendly Destination for 2023 in the Leicester Cycle Awards.

Excellent for Progression

Excellent park, run by excellent people. Good tips from the locals every time I ride there.

What do you like?

Good range of jumps from small tables to some imposing doubles and gap jumps. Still rideable soon after rain.

What could be improved?

Too far from my house...

Summer fun

The locals make this place so much fun in the summer months. Worth a visit just for the atmosphere and then you ad the jumps in as well and your sorted. Keep up the good work WPFR.

Great local trails where I ride most days in spring/summer. All built & maintainedby local riders & good lads. Great friendly vibe & great trail/jump variety from beginners to experts.

What do you like?

Fab sets of table top jumps & doubles for all skill levels. Great short runs & nice & compact to blast straight back up for another run

What could be improved?

No bad points as all rider built & maintained by good lads. Only point being being they need some financial help to help the area grow & get some facilities in

Western park

You need to go

What do you like?

An absolutely amazing place been coming here since I was a child and is amazing to see how my progress had developed there but it wouldn't have been possible with out the riders they are so helpful teaching u serten lines and how to ride a serten jump the local people to go are real friendly u probs will leave with a new friend evey time u go.

What could be improved?

None

Just fun to be had all day . This little spot is hard to beat on a summer afternoon with your mates. If you like flow jumps it's the spot , there's nothing to serious but enough to keep all levels happy.
