It also has a bike shop (Bike Art) which does cycle hire. There is a Visitors Centre with a cafe.

Lime Burner Trail (Red)

  • The Lime Burner is a 15km Red graded trail. Varied and changeable surface with technical features such as drop-offs, sweeping single-track, rock features and optional black graded pits.

Beater Trail (Blue)

  • The Blue graded Beater Trail is an 18km trail that is mainly single-track winding between the trees. There is a short 10km route or a long 18km route. Mostly single-track, winding through the trees and over obstacles such as roots.

Shepherd Trail (Green)

  • The Shepherd trail is an 8km Green graded for families and beginners. there is also a 5.5km shortcut version. Offers relatively flat, wide open forest roads, tracks and rides. Appropriate for most bikes, including tagalongs, trailers and child seats

Pump Track

  • A small pump track for progressive skill development.

Pedal and Play (Green)

  • Four green graded cycle loops
  • Progressive blue graded opt-ins
  • Almost 2km of new off-road cycle track

Poacher Trail (Blue)- Brandon Country Park

  • The Poacher Trail is a moderately graded Blue 16km trail. The Poacher Trail is located in Brandon Country Park. This loop can be linked with the High Lodge Shepherd Trail to lengthen the trails.

Off Piste

  • Like most of the official trails in the UK there is a selection of off-piste unsanctioned natural feel trails. Mainly, on the Brandon side.

Thetford Trails

Love it here

What do you like?

Great fun Craters to anyone who isn't a quality rider I learnt here and everything I need is there

What could be improved?

Car parking can be expensve, if you rent bikes or buy something from the shop you get a free parking ticket, if you have your own bike you can park in the fireroads/other car parks. High lodge is not essential everytime. Not much for really good riders to push themselves on, but my riding buddies are good and go 3 times a week without complaining much

Thetford MTB

Thetford has got better with the rock gardens and new style pump tracks, a little more investment and concentratition on black graded routes and it could be really good

What do you like?

Plenty of miles

What could be improved?

Not enough up to date trails. Berms, jumps, tabletops and flowing tracks. Some black graded runs with drop offs and more technical sections would be great. Thetford is too XC focuses and would be great to cater for dirt bikes and Enduro riding.

Lime Burner

Great fun, will be going back - to improve times.

What do you like?

A mix of fast slopes, craters, a new speed trail..around 18km of great fun to be had. Some of the stretches are strava segments too..so easy to compare to others.

What could be improved?

One of the "slow down" speed calming barriers it too close to the end of the new speed trail at the end of the lime burner..literally did slow me down dead - as it hit it at 15 - 20 km..

Not a bad little place at all, just as long as your not expecting mountains.
