Description

Stanmer Park mountain bike trails are in Brighton in East Sussex. They are situated next to Sussex University just on the edge of the city. It's a popular place for bikers, horse riders, and walkers.  Stanmer Park has 5,000 hectares of wooded and open land and so has a myriad of twisty wooded single tracks with jumps and drops lightly peppered across the network.

It is next door to the MTB spot of Wild Park.

The Trails

  • The trails are not waymarked but there are miles and miles so try and hook up with a local if you can but also just get out and explore.
  • The terrain is singletrack, it's woody, with a number of rollers, jumps, drops, roots and twisty turns throughout
  • Some of the popular segments and descents are Buzz Lightyear with tight turns, the steep and rooty Rail the Roots, Simon's Business, Zorro, Witches Table, Stuart's Bits, Tea and Cake, Doctors Orders and Clara's.

Routes

  • MBR have a 58km GPS route you can check out here
