Excellent place to have a good old fashioned XC blast through the woods. The Kitchener trail is more akind to a Blue at other trail centres as it does not have many technical features but it is fast flowing and very fun on a hardtail, reminds me of what most natural trails were like through woods before all the trail centres kicked off in the 90s. For an all-dayer ride it is easy to combine with a lap of the blue, follow the trail through Sherwood forest (few rolling miles of singletrack just off the main route past the Dog & Duck) up to Clumber for a lap and back down through the forest + join back on to the kitchner trail to finish off back in the car park.

What do you like?

Excellent facilities Easy to get to from most directions Variety of trails Miles and miles of singletrack away from the main trails (if you know where to look!) Can be linked up with route through Sherwood Forest to clumber park and back for 40 mile XC run completely off road

What could be improved?

Blue closer to a green Red closer to a blue Not much elevation or many technical sections

Would you recommend?

*Yes*
