Mini-woburn - great for a couple of hours
Blessed with the same sandy soil and loamy slopes as Woburn and Chicksands, Rushmere has a small bikepark area featuring 5-10 short trails, ranging from flowy blues to bigger-commitment blacks with gap-jumps and large table-tops. There is a 6-pack of large dirt jumps. At the top of the bikepark area there is a small pumptrack which is probably best for kids. The Country Park has a blue XC route, which in my opinion isn't worth the effort unless you're on an eeb or are mostly into XC riding.
What do you like?
The few trails that are there are well-made and run all year round. Short runs with easy pushup is good for sessioning bits and improving skills. It has something for everyone.
What could be improved?
It's too small to spend a day at, but fortunately Woburn is 10 minutes drive away. You're supposed to pay a tenner, which tbh is absolutely criminal for the size of the place, considering thats the same price as Woburn, Chicksands, Twisted Oaks, Windhill and other full-day bike parks. I generally refuse to pay it, especially as the people who build the trails don't see a penny.
Would you recommend?
yes
