Best riding in South, lots to offer and getting better all the time.

What do you like?

QECP has been extensively reworked by local trail builders and have turned it from and outdated loop of mundane single track into a fun fast and flowy red graded route with many features along the way such as berms, jumps and switchbacks. Its mainly chalk with a mix of soil and so when dry its fast and grippy but not quite so good when wet on the chalkier sections. But then thats what is great about QE its not just perfectly surfaced trails that don't have and features. Its got lots of roots which in places can be tricky to ride fast especially in the wet. But then thats what makes a great trail?! You want it to be challenged and if you can ride QE in the wet then in the dry and at other trails you will be much faster. The red trail really does give you a great workout and allows you to enjoying riding. The 1st climb is hard but as you ride the red route its made worthwhile with lots of single track as a reward. As QECP sits in the South Downs and has the South Downs Way run straight through the park is very easy to link up with other local trails that surround QE and branch off from the South Downs Way. In all its a great red route thats definitely worth a couple of laps and its also worth exploring around the local area to make a days riding. QE also offers a great cafe that is perfect after a days riding. Car parking is well priced at £2 a day and there its lots of space. The future looks bright for QE as the passionate trail builders are really making some excellent progress and they are even holding Enduro and DH races in 2013. With this enthusiastic group pushing progress QE park will be getting more popular and has the potential to offer the best riding in the South!! Well worth a look around. Ride On!!

What could be improved?

No Bike wash..yet. Can be a little slippery in the winter due to the mix of a little mud and chalk. But embrace the sloppiness and you will become a better rider and come summer time your speed will benefit!
