Good Points
Versatility, superb Dirt Jumps (wow, that's so inspirational looking at the regulars doing flips, whips, corks etc.), 4X with Schwalbe British 4X Series holding one of their rounds here for many years now, 7 dedicated and maintained DH runs for riders of all age and skill (chicken runs around big features) with an Uplift (£5 for five runs and you can use them anytime, not only on the day of purchase!) and even CycloCross events so XC as welcomed as everybody else.
Hot Food and Drinks being a Big Plus! Toilets and Free Bike Wash facilities, they are building a proper restaurant now too!
Amazing atmosphere and the vibe created by friendly locals and regulars, always someone on the site to help, direct or advise making PORC extremely progressive and leaving everyone with a smile and feel of accomplishment.
Recently I've read on PinkBike about the first all year Bike Park somewhere in America...well it is the second one as the first one is here in Kent! PORC is rideable all year long!
Bad Points
Some complain about the tracks being short - just a reminder - we are not in Whistler or the Alps, not even in the mountains, this is KENT at its best!
One of the reviews says the trails are too bike parky - this is a bike park first of all, secondly he clearly haven't ridden all of them to make such a bold statement.
The only bad point I can think of is that there is couple of spots where it's getting a bit soggy and greasy after a lot of rain but hey! This is England right?!

User Review

Good Points
I love porc ! The races there are organised really well and the tracks are great , constantly evolving . There's something for every skill level and the park seems to be getting better and better as more an more time and money is put into it . Always a great rideing atmosphere .
Bad Points
I don't drive so it's a bit of a ride from the train station . But then so is pretty much every bike park in the south , so it's really no biggie . Nothing really bad to say .

i absolutely love this place it is around 40 miles from from where i live and i still try to get here most sundays ;)
the races are mostly monthly and its vary rare to see less than 100 riders on the day.
there is alot of variety of trails from big flat out senders to tight twisty wooded sections.
the jumps and trails are built really well (mike joseph) and are regularly maintained.
most race days there are a new or improved line keeping things interesting :)
plus for under sixteen the price is unbeatable.

Bad Points
its worth walking the tracks first time(watch out for mad wobblers behind you though) because big jumps and drops can creep up on you if your unaware.
near the end of the trails it starts to flatten out and can become boggy.
runs are usually sub 1 minuet.
water drainage can become a problem with alot of rain.
its around a 15 minuet cycle from penshurst train station and is all up hill on the way back so on a full downhill rig with wet screams after a whole day riding well it begins to take its toll ahah. but worth it none the less :D

A excellent variety of tracks, with dirt jumps for beginners up to pro's have actually seen Sam Reynolds riding there! Also the downhill tracks offer an amazing variety of skill levels and awesome 4x track there. As well as a really cool atmosphere!

User Review

Good Points
Awesome atmosphere!
Excellent variety of downhill hill tracks as well as dirt jumps.
4x track has awesome tables and nice doubles.
B lines round most jumps.
Not much money
Really cool racing!
Bad Points
Not many just the push up the hill but I think sometimes they have an uplift running and the longest run I think is about 2 minutes long depending on how fats you ride but then this is Kent and there is nothing around that is as good as it!

Great spot. Friendly atmosphere, decent trails and a good race series. Trails are well built and there's plenty of them. Dirt jump area is spot on, camping on site and an events building for hire if you need. If you aint been, you should have.

A gem of the South

User Review

Good Points
About as DH as UK trails get. A good selection of runs with decent sized features. The races held here are excellent and the locals and owner are all friendly. The jump area is amazing if you're amazing enough to be able to ride it!
Bad Points
All DH trails are of similar difficulty, so if these are beyond your ability then there isn't much left for you to ride. This isn't a bad thing if you can ride them and send the big stuff.

Pretty sick with good trail variety. Great place for sessioning with mates. Lucky to have such a good spot here in the south east.

Good Points
Trails are great fun. Always full of friendly people.
Bad Points
Trails are pretty much all built straight down the hill so aren't very long - mostly fast and pretty easy. Definitely short but sweet.

If you are seriously into Dirt Jumps and Downhill then PORC has it. The downhills are short but packed full of features from steps to steep rooty sections to gaps and drops of all sizes. Dirt Jumps are not my bag but saw some pretty cool skills. Needs a level of progression added though especially on downhill i.e. some entry level trails as well as a technical grading system as easy to get caught out beyond your ability. I wonder if it has got more technical over the years to satisfy the community that has grown with it. I came on my 4X which is not the best for Downhill but I was hoping to find the 4X track. I hadn't realised the 4X had been shut down which is such a shame.

User Review

Good Points
-Diversity from Downhill, Dirt Jumps and XC
-Really friendly and welcoming community
Bad Points
-I don't really find it progressive. Be it the jumps or the downhill runs there is no real entry level (or mid level) tracks. It all feels 3 dots orange or black to double black diamond. If you were a very confident intermediate rider or an expert rider you could easily develop pro skills here but as beginner / moderate level rider I think you would be put off. Hence maybe counter intuitive too many but I gave it a low skills score. I have not ridden the XC as yet.
- Easy to get lost on the lines and end up facing a huge technical feature un-expectantly.
- Runs aren't marked with ability. Needs an orange dot system.
