Description

Wind Hill B1KE Park is based on the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire and is packed full of downhill and freeride trails. It has trails for riders of all levels, whatever the style of riding.

There are 10 x individual trails from favourite blue's like Blutopia through to one of the UK’s most challenging, ‘Pro Lines’, Viagra Falls, and lots in-between.

Like this?

It is a progressive bike park catering to all levels of riders offering a variety of trails ranging from flowing blue grade to extreme pro freeride and downhill. A start ramp is at the highest point and all the trails can be ridden from a single start point. All trails feed to a designated push up.

Downhill

Tina Turner - 2 Dot Red

  • This trail has more moves than a collection of dads at a wedding! Since its addition to the trail network a few years ago it has proven to be a firm favourite, and just like its namesake is likely to go on performing well into its senior years.

Feed ‘em to the Lions- 3 Dot Black

  • Another trail that grows on riders and allows them to develop into discovering more lines. A small drop at the top is the only obligatory feature which can’t be rolled, but don’t think that means it’s easy to tame. An opt-in big drop line for the bigger hitters and a (rollable if necessary) road-gap ensure that this trail is far from toothless. Steep, technical catch-berms that you have to work hard to master lead to a high speed finish, crossing bridges over the spring fed, babbling brook. Can you tame the Lions?

Rootiful South - 3 Dot Black

  • The clue is in the name, but there is far more to this trail than roots alone; drops, stepped-out chutes, and more than a bit of casual trail chunder are all there to keep you on your toes!

Ark at EE - 3 Dot Black

  • A firm favourite with top to bottom action; combining technical natural elements and a park feel. The latter half of this trail is a re-imagining of one of the legacy trails from the ‘Allotment’ days. A split half-way down allows riders to opt in to bigger hits and gaps, whilst if you stick to the right hand side the jumps are more forgiving.

Pass the Dutchie - 2 Dot Black, (currently closed to fallow)

  • For lovers of downhill, technical, natural trails which only require optional airtime. This trail is a test of skills beyond jumping. Off-camber roots, moto-whoops and an optional rock garden, combine to create a trail that at speed is perhaps the most technical on the hill. With line choices galore, this trail can be negotiated by relatively novice riders but to master it will take great skill.

The Left Hand side - 1 Dot Red

  • The ‘Red’ graded alternative to Pass the Dutchie. The same feel good tech vibes, all wrapped in a slightly less heady package.

Freeride

Blutopia - 1 Dot Blue

  • The perfect start to your day at the park, and we strongly recommend you do start here. This flow trail is as much fun for novices getting accustomed to park life as it is for pros seeking cheeky transfers. With rollers, berms and superbly crafted jumps, there is no better way to start your day… and we know you’ll come straight back up to hit it again. Blutopia feeds 5 x other trails (3 x black, 2 x red), and right from the ramp is feature-packed fun, guaranteed to provide a huge grin.

Empuru - 2 Dot Red

  • Follow Blutopia to the fourth turn off and you find one of our signature trails, Empuru. A hugely progressive jump line, filled with the sweetest berms, step-ups and step-downs. This red run is a game changer! In the words of Sam Pilgrim, it’s, ‘better than Whistler’s A-Line’, and who are we to disagree?! The split-sided jumps provide progression when required and the long landings inspire confidence. The bottom berms are both a joy to ride and a joy to look at in equal measure. Making the most out of the hill, this trail would make your journey worthwhile wherever you’ve travelled from, even if it was the only one in the park!

The Step Up - 3 Dot Black

  • This stand alone iconic feature is the perfect qualifier for those thinking of stepping-up their game. Eminently trickable, a reworked feature that harks back to the Black Canon days. If you fancy throwing some shapes, working on your style or perfecting your next trick, this is the place to do it!

Viagra Falls - 3 Dot “The Pro Line”

  • Big doesn’t begin to describe it! But it’s not just the size – it’s what you do with it that counts… A line built to provide a challenge but also allow riders to show their ‘steeze’! Although the features are frankly ludicrous in size they are shaped to be trickable, not just about hitting at mach-10 and hoping for the best. Designed with input from local legend Chris Smith who test piloted every feature, this trail is like something out of a video game. Favourably compared to any trail on the FMB world tour, Viagra Falls is definitely something to work up to and not something you have for breakfast! With 14 x features in all, even if you’ll never ride it, it’s worth the visit just to watch those that do. Straight off the ramp you are into a series of carefully designed and crafted features that set this trail apart from so many others. The iconic ‘Boner Log’ and line of 30-40 ft jumps that follow are rapidly becoming part of MTB folklore and draw riders quite literally from across the globe.

Pay Rise - 3 Dot Red

  • Pay Rise was conceived by the trail crew during the tail end of the COVID pandemic, with a view to bringing some old areas back into play and introducing a whole load of new ones. Since its opening it has quickly become one of the most Instagramable areas on the hill; guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of riders and ‘followers’ alike!

Skills Training

  • Wind Hill B1KEPARK is the perfect venue for progressing your mountain bike skills. A fantastic range of trail features which progress from small and rollable through to large and unavoidable means this is the place to be to progress your MTB journey, from regular trail enthusiast to B1KEPARK aficionado. You’re always the right age to become a Park Rat! There’s everything here in terms of trails, providing the ideal progression for the range of courses offered.
  • Renowned for sublime jump lines that range in size from small to frankly ridiculous, if you are looking to develop your confidence and ability in the air, this is a venue for you. But look beyond the flow lines and we have enough natural tech to train riders, from first-timers to racers looking to shave seconds off their race runs and top the podium. Master the dirt, whether it’s groomed or out-and-out ‘Gnar’!

Windhill is a great local bike park

Great progression bike park with downhill and jumps it has a great variety of feature including gaps drops table tops and many more

What do you like?

The jumps are built great they are smooth and flowy, and downhill spots are put in great locations.Trails and maintained well and always in good condition

What could be improved?

Make there more tech trails instead of jumps. Add smaller gap jumps like 20 - 15 ft gaps instead of massive ones.

fix pro line

The place is great i've been a regular rider there for years now and is one of or if not the best park in England.

What do you like?

The variety of trails and how you can progress throughout the day from reds to pro lines.

What could be improved?

The bottom of proline could do with a face lift as it feels as the current state of it is putting people off riding it. Boner log (although talked about a lot) does need to become more mellow like is was a few years back. I think this is the instigator for the sheer amount of crashes on this feature, many people I think would agree with me on this, especially of those who have crashed on it. And maybe some more decent tech trails. As Tina turna is currently v chopped up and destroyed. but I know you have so many hours in the day to do all that!
