Review for Hamsterley Forest MTB Trails

Could be an amazing place but unfortunately not used to it’s full potential. The trails have recently been covered with stupid gravel and smoothed out. No blue trails to get kids on and no real black features. The guys at Hamsterly are very clever. They keep the short, limited trails maintained just enough to keep the parking meters full whilst never adding anything new and been totally risk averse. It’s clear to see MTB is the main attraction in the Forrest but appetite to improve or excite is the least priority for the management. If you have never been imagine a lads Holliday to Ibiza but organised by the local vicar.

The cafe is decent.
