Always fun
If you’re willing to put the work in you will definitely be rewarded with a good days riding, Its more about technical riding than long flowy descents. As the trails are rocky and rooty with boulders and north shore, short sharp climbs and steep descents it gets you thinking all the time where you can’t afford to switch off, when you do reach a flowy descent its worth all the effort took to rich it, With Hully Gully being worth the visit on its own with its large berms and short steep sections.
There is a reworked blue section that is a bit different from the rest of the trails where it has been smoothed off and a bit tame compared to the rest of the trails but it works well and comes as a welcome break from the jarring rocks & slippery roots giving you the opportunity to get some hard pedal strokes in and up the pace.
Also just opened is the new trail hub café which provides the usual in a cool chilled environment good for hanging out after your ride.
It’s a tough 20k figure of 8 ride but it all ways leaves you feeling like you’ve done a good days riding and once refuelled you can go and play on the Hope line and the downhill run.
