brillliant day out
Have been doing the red route once a month for the last year, and today did it twice. It is full of fun and surprises, and always brings a smile and whoop; there are lots of bits that are just really good riding, either great singletrack going slightly downhill, or really steep downhills, with good do-able technical bits and laugh out loud drops. The forest is very varied, and I cannot recommend this place too much. There are a few sections that are a slog but what do you expect in such a long trail. Having gone round once today I thought the second trip would be a drag- how wrong I was, as enjoyed some sections even more, and faster, than first time. Good facilities at start and half way round for breaks, plus good view points for self-breaks. Track is very well maintained and constantly worked upon by fab team of volunteers so it is always developing. It is a varied, hard , fun and a good half day out
What do you like?
Loads of variety
demanding
seldom crowded
Would you recommend?
*Yes*
