An excellent place for progressing your skills and, despite being quite a small venue, it's easy to spend the day riding here, such is the range of trails. There's plenty of new work planned for the upcoming months too, so the place is due to grow and cater for everybody. Each trail is less than a minute long, so don't go expecting an XC epic, though there are fun xc trails outside of the park. The riding here is all 'gravity assisted' in as much as all the trails point downhill, and a chuckable little hardtail is best suited to the twisty style of riding at Chicky.
What do you like?
Short but fun runs, always a good vibe, dries quickly after rain, very well tended by volunteers. Loads of progressive features for those keen to build up their skills and some expert local riders to keep you entertained with frankly astonishing riding. Push ups are short and easy, downs make the most of the limited elevation. There's delicious Thai food from the regular snack van. All this for only £5!
What could be improved?
Facilities are limited to a good Snack van and a single little portaloo.
