Like this?

Red (with black options) Trail

  • The 12km red trail has twisty turns with short ups and downs. It is in a rooty environment with berms, rollers and drops dotted along the way. It is split into a multitude of sections e.g. deliverance, cardiac, five ways, magic carpet and so on.
  • It has an optional red/black section. This section starts with a rock garden roll then has several small kickers and drops.

Family Trail - Blue

  • This trail is suitable for all abilities and follows 9km of family cycle track on shared use forest road around the 2000 acre Bedgebury Forest.

Cycling Clubs and Groups

  • There is an active club structure from Boars on Bikes  who organise rides and trail building and there is a Go Ride British Cycling club for young riders.

Bedgebury Insomnia 2013

I rode around Bedgebury for 8 hours during the Insomnia race this year and never got bored, the new Red route is fab with lovely flow all the way through.

What do you like?

Fab routes, nice flow and the cafe does amazing cake!

What could be improved?

Cost of car park, but if you have a car full, ok.

Would you recommend?

*Yes*

Bedgebury not sure?

First time to bedgebury with my son, nice free flowing stuff on the red route, berms could be higher for faster ride.Route signs very poor on all the routes you come out of the gate with no indication of what direction to go in,could not even find Black route. They need to also to get balance spot on for different abilities,in my opinion to much gravel stick with the muddy stuff

What do you like?

Easy parking, fun free flowing routes.Good for all ages.

What could be improved?

Expensive parking.All routes poorly signed.

Would you recommend?

Fun trail

I've been to Bedgebury a couple of times and the trail is good fun to ride. I liked the newer 'black' bits when they put them in, it just makes it a little more interesting, I ended up doing that section several times as it was good fun. It's great when it's dry, but it can get pretty muddy.

What do you like?

Fun trail, very flowy and super quick when it's dry Jumpy/freeride area too Good facilities

What could be improved?

Can get very busy Car parking very expensive

Would you recommend?

*Yes*

Fun Singletrack Loop in lovely Pine Forest

Although there are few hills at Bedgebury the singletrack is still fun and challenging. There are many twisty turns, roots, berms and other features on the trail. It flows well and if you keep pedalling hard you can think you are on a downhill trail. The uphill sections are mostly singletrack instead of wide forest road which makes these interesting as well. Overall lots of fun and much better than the local bridleways. It rides best in dry conditions when you can make a longer ride by doing two laps of the singletrack.

What do you like?

Beautiful pine forest. Mostly singletrack, only a few forest road sections. Flows well, interesting features and fun to ride. Balanced XC riding with ups and downs mixed together. Dirt jump area. Visitor Centre facilities, shop, cafe, parking and other activities for the family. Active bike club (www.boarsonbikes.co.uk) Family trail.

What could be improved?

Gets very muddy in wet periods. Expensive parking (you can join the bike club to get a parking pass) Lack of hills, rocks and technical features. Can get busy on sunny summer days.

Would you recommend?

*Yes*

Good for SE

The family green trail is largely fire raod, but the red that loops around the whole estate is nice single track with a (very) short black bit with an intersting beginning. The red is a England red, as opposed to Welsh or Scottish which are noticably harder. It's convenient for those in the south east. and can be made into a day trip with non-bikers thanks to the forest playground and the curated pinetum. Cafe was so-so

What do you like?

Convenient to get to for those in the south east. Nice setting with stuff for non-bikers.

What could be improved?

Limited on trails and not overly technical

Would you recommend?

*Yes*

Bedgebury Red Trail

Rode this in the wet and mud but would like to see how it rides in the dry. I like the way it is broken into multiple sections each with apt names and their own personality. 12 miles is a decent distance on a muddy day but on a dry day think you would want more.

What do you like?

Great for cornering and a blast Good facilities Being constantly developed

What could be improved?

Prone to mud due to clay base

Would you recommend?

*Yes*
