One of the original and still the best trail centres.
What an awesome place, still one of my favourite places to ride after many years of riding.
What do you like?
- Great variety of trails to suit all abilities, a great place to improve skills. Flowing single track to wilderness cross country epics on natural terrain.
- Excellent to ride in the wet.
- Very well maintained trails.
- Waymarked so well, that it is very difficult to get lost!
- Plenty of trails to absorb large numbers of riders and still feel quiet.
- Can link up with an extensive local network of trails to lose yourself for days.
- Stunning countryside.
- Excellent facilities at the trailhead. Great cafe, play park, running and walking routes, red kite feeding. A great place for non-mountain biking family members.
- Bike wash and temporary bike storage, with locks available, for peace of mind while getting a bite to eat.
- Close to other attractions and the coast.
What could be improved?
- May not be challenging enough for some riders, as there is a lack of challenging steep technical descents.
- Although not essential, showers would be great.
