Great technical bike park
This place had been on my radar since it launched but I had heard it was mainly for expert riders at the top of their game. Built by the Atherton clan I assumed the case. So I went after watching a multitude of youtube videos with some trepidation being a rider comfortable on reds and the occasional black. The facilities car park, cafe, uplift, and shop are great and met with a really friendly vibe. The toilets are Portakabin style so need some investment but no biggie. I loved it. spent most of the day on a couple of reds and tried a few of the gnarlier trails which were pushing my skill base. There is a lot of trail for each ride also which is great. I did leave thinking another red (one was in the works) or a blue to kick the day off and make it more progressive was missing to make it truly inclusive for all riders. Will be back in the spring to try out the new red.
What do you like?
- trails are long and feature-packed - uplift is efficient and reasonably fast with normal queues
What could be improved?
- toilets/washroom facilities - needs an easier red or blue to warm up on and increase inclusion for all skill levels. Understand a new flowy red has launched (Dec 22) since I visited month before.
Would you recommend?
yes
