Review for Afan Forest Mountain Bike Trail Centre

I was going to wait till I had had time to do all of what Afan had to offer before reviewing but it wont be this year and I can always edit as I learn more. I thought the terrain and area covered by Afan was huge, which is good. Plenty of trail options, easily enough for an entire weekend there. I based myself at the top 4X trail rather than the cafe at the other end - but then that makes a nice point to aim for for refreshments. The Cafe was ok, not too daft on price and decent enough grub. I think I had beans on toast and a brew great biking combination. With the loose rocks of "blade" you need decent tyres, but a nice mix of wooded and unwooded bits with good views. Really want to go back and ride all the options over 2-3 days to get a proper view as I'm sure I missed some good stuff. Hills seemed to drag but the descents were long and flowing, I thought that there was scope to have a few shorter steeper descents too to mix it up. I did it in baking hot sun but it looked good for all weathers.
