What could be improved?
watch out for midges in the summer although you can buy midge spray(smidge) in the cafe!!
Trail kept in excellent condition.
Nice new facilities.
Black route is a good mix.
Excellent trail to stop in on the way up to Glenlivet or Glen Nevis.
The best trail centre in Scotland! I think it has been the best since it first opened - amazing trails and amazing atmosphere at the cafe/shop at the bottom. I have ridden here since I was 10 and the trails have not once got boring - they are well designed for all types of rider to progress - especially the fantastic old red.
What could be improved?
This isnt really a bad point just more of a comment...but I would ask the Forestry Commission to put some more money and energy into keeping the trails in always great condition and to build some new trails - surely they can invest some money back into this from the large pot they must surely have from the car park charges all over Scotland!
Nice one Laggan, keeping me going through soggy winters in the Strath.
What do you like?
Good car park, skills area, cruisy climb up a straightforward fire road. Techy climbing/traversing to the top of the Red and Black. Flowing red through open hillside or techy, twisty singletrack on the black.
Smiles for miles on a million huge berms on the orange: the best place to practice your cornering.
Friendly, lovely people in the cafe and delicious cake. Winning.
What could be improved?
Shame the Lower Red was damaged in storms and never repaired, but still plenty to go at!
