Excellent for more experienced riders, not so much for skills progression
What do you like?
The trails are a great mix of flowy, rocky and quick. The reds are challenging but leave you feeling incredibly accomplished and the orange jump line is nicely built to let you gradually build up your jumping.
New cafe was nice to see too.
Definitely one of my 'I want to go back tomorrow' trail centres
What could be improved?
No blue trail so unless you're quite experienced it's difficult to progress from the gentle green to the rocky, droppy red and black.
Skills area is very small
Trail variety a tad lacking
I love the variety of grades, since it means my husband can enjoy the black and red courses, I can have an exciting time as well.
Great facilities, bike wash, parking, cafe , toilets and showers.
What do you like?
The lower section of the Orange is very exciting, I'm planning in having a go on the top section as well during my next two week trip to The Highlands in September 2017. My comments are based on riding a recumbent trike around the routes. Visited in Sept 2015, & 2016.
What could be improved?
There in no blue graded trail.
The Green trails has good points, but the down hill section is very narrow, with no choice on the best approach to the next feature. I ride an ICE Adventure HD recumbent trike, which is 39" ( one meter wide), hence my need for a wider trail
By far and away my favourite trails, Wolftrax is always great fun and every time you visit you feel yourself progressing. I cant really fault them in any way!
Highly recommended facility for all ages & abilities.
What do you like?
Brilliant trails catering for every age & ability, great facility offering plenty parking, friendly cafe with clean shower/toilet facilities, a bike shop on site & provision of hose to wash bike. Everything you need for a great day biking.
