Pump Tracks
There are two asphalt pump tracks:
- A smaller beginner loop ideal for young riders or first-timers.
- A larger flowing track with berms, rollers, and jumps for more advanced riding.
Both are open access and suit bikes, scooters, and skateboards alike.
Cycle Circuit
The park also includes a 450 m flat tarmac circuit, open to all wheeled users including adaptive cyclists. It’s ideal for skills practice, confidence building, and group sessions.
Events and Community
Ellon Wheel Park is run by volunteers through the Ellon Wheel Park Group charity. They organise fundraising events and local time trials such as “Friday Fury”, and encourage community involvement through memberships and donations. Phase 2 – a skate and BMX zone – is planned as part of ongoing development.
Location and Access
Located in Gordon Park, the facility is free to use and open 24 hours, though unlit after dark. There’s limited nearby parking and the site is a short walk from Ellon town centre. The surface handles all-weather use but can become slick after rain.
