The Trails
- Red Downhill: Over 3km long with more than 300m of vertical drop, mixing fast, flowing berms with technical rock gardens. A rebuilt bottom section opened in June 2025, and the features are rollable throughout, suiting confident intermediate riders.
- Black Downhill: Built in 2006 for the Scottish Downhill Association, this 1.2km, 300m vertical descent runs down Meall a' Bhuiridh past a waterfall with its own dedicated drop-in. Rock gardens, drops, exposed rock faces and jumps make it one of the toughest tracks in the UK, for experienced riders only.
- Nae Danger (Blue): A 1.5km circuit from the top of the chairlift, mixing Land Rover track with Scottish singletrack past Craig Dhubh. A good warm up before tackling the reds and blacks.
- Epic Glades (Red): Climbs past the Plateau Cafe and the top lifts before dropping into a red descent of loose rock, drops and berm corners, with views out to Glen Etive and Buachaille Etive Mor.
- Loop de Dhubh (Black): Continues along the ridgeline from Epic Glades toward the summit of Creag Dhubh, then drops back down a short, steep, rocky section with several drops. Watch for walkers on this shared route.
Gravel Riding
From the valley floor at Kingshouse, Land Rover tracks and rough paths open up longer mixed-surface rides beyond the lift-served trails: the West Highland Way, the Old Military Road, and the Rannoch Public Path, a gentle climb on Land Rover track toward a viewpoint with views over Rannoch Moor. These routes aren't waymarked for cycling specifically, so download a route or use GPS navigation before you set off.
Chairlift Access
Bikes go up on the 2-person Access Chair by hooking the frame onto the seatpost; staff can help you load and can slow the lift if needed. Riders must be able to lift their bike to roughly shoulder height, and the minimum age for lift-accessed mountain biking is 10, with under-16s needing to be accompanied by an adult. Check the resort's own bike track report for today's uplift hours and any closures before you travel.
Beyond the Trails
Glencoe Mountain Resort is a full outdoor resort as much as a bike venue. The onsite campsite has camping pitches, hook-ups and microlodges, and there are two cafes: the White Corries Cafe at the base, open daily, and the Plateau Cafe partway up the mountain, serving home-cooked food with panoramic views. Beyond biking, the resort runs tubing, disc golf, treasure hunts, archery, orienteering, hill-walking, climbing and guided walks, plus skiing, snowboarding and sledging once winter sets in. See the Glencoe Mountain Resort website for the full programme.
