Garvagh Forest can be found beside the village of Garvagh in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The forest has a compact mountain bike offer built around a red loop, a shorter blue loop, a dedicated skills park and the short Pyramid Trail — all waymarked within the wider multi-use forest.

Blue Trail
The Blue Trail is a flowing loop suited to riders with limited off-road experience, combining short forest-road links with mellow singletrack.

- Grade: Blue – moderate
- Key features: rolling singletrack, gentle gradients, good for progression
- Best for: newer riders and mixed-ability groups
Red Trail
The Red Trail is a more technical loop that peels away from the blue to circumnavigate the north-west of the forest before returning to the trailhead.

- Grade: Red – difficult
- Key features: tighter singletrack, rougher trail surface, technical features
- Best for: experienced riders with solid bike control
Pyramid Trail
The Pyramid Trail is a short loop around the estate’s pyramid folly area — handy as a family spin or cool-down lap.

- Grade: Green/easiest
- Key features: short loop, gentle terrain
- Best for: beginners, families, warm-up/cool-down
Skills Park
The Skills Park sits near the trailhead and is designed for sessioning core techniques before heading onto the loops.

- Features: rollers, berms and graded features
- Best for: all abilities, building confidence and control

Why Ride It
A tidy, close-packed network that’s ideal for shorter sessions, skills practice and progression. The red loop adds a punchy technical option, while the blue and Pyramid loops keep things accessible for newer riders.
Location and Access
Garvagh Forest sits on the edge of Garvagh village in County Londonderry. Way-finding from the forest entrance directs to MTB trails and the skills area. Parking is at the forest car park.
