Good Points
I guess this is technically the closest trail center to my current household. Doesn't really fill me with excitement I have to be honest - mainly use it to keep the phys levels up.

Only ridden the red multiple times which is pretty rooty and in the wet is pretty lethal, but then I do like the technical challenge of it.

Some nice descending berms and jumps, some pretty fast flowing parts in the dry. The last bit down into the car park has been revamped and is much better.

Very family orientated.
Bad Points
Gets ridiculously crazy muddy on the trails when wet. No places to rinse bike quickly afterwards.

I think they need to add some faster sections into the trail but then I am a bit of a speed freak.

Could do with more trails - I believe the blue is being developed though.

Only ridden the red route but it brought plenty of smiles with it's fast singletrack. A lot of up down and not too much descending but this is made up for with the amount of roots everywhere. A nice bermy bit towards the end to finish off

Good Points
Easy to access from Southern England, downhill sections, berms jumps and pump sections. Butser hill climb and 35 mph downhill blast (opposite QE II country park).
Bad Points
Took more tumbles on this route than at any other point in the 10 years I have been riding, constant battle with roots, I have previously ridden IMBA red and black routes (Cannock chase follow the dog etc...) you need full sus bike to get the best from route felt under biked on 100mm travel hardtail. Trail could do with more smoothing out of root sections (some parts have this).

Good Points
I've ridden QECP for many years and in recent times the efforts of the QECP collective have transformed good trails into great trails. The RED trail offers a good variety of single track technical climbs & descents, small jumps culminating in a fun downhill section with medium berms.
Any regular riders would soon develop some good skills on the varied terrain which for the beginner can be easily rolled or can be milked for fun by the more advanced riders. Trails are well marked with plenty of parking and a good visitors centre for refreshments.
Bad Points
The chalky subsoil and off camber rooted trails can be quite slippery in damp conditions.

Good Points
Fun, fast, and flowing. Nice coffee shop at the end. Also doesn't get that busy either so you can sometimes find yourself out there alone, which is great if you want to try and nail that berm or drop off over and over again.
Bad Points
Blue trail/purple needs an upgrade.

All the work done and underway at QECP have really brought the park back into the limelight after nearly 20 years. The new updated route is still on the short side but still packs in nearly 1000ft of climbing and descent, is almost all singletrack and includes a multitude of different types of riding to get your teeth into, hard climbs, masses of roots, steep burms, tables and drops. You'll want to do two at least two laps to get the most out of the trail if you've not been before! After that you'll e ready to hit the on-site cafe and grab some lovely cake :p

Good Points
Good variety of features and trail styles. Very little fire road. Active trail building group. Easy access to extensive local bridleway network and the south downs for some properly epic days out. Easy access, good cheap parking and cafe.
Bad Points
Red trail a bit short ( just do it twice if once is not enough ;) ), blue/purple beginner trail in need of update ( some time in 2013 ). Gets muddy in winter, but hey this is mountain biking right?

Good Points
Is fast becoming a star attraction in the south. Lots of work has been done on the trails which now ride well. All the official trails are well sign posted. Lots of options to link trails with other local tracks. Good elevations for the south of England. Good cafe in the park. Lots of safe parking. On the South Downs Way if you riding the SDW allow some time to try the trials in the park. http://kingleyvalemountainbikers.ning.com/ or https://www.facebook.com/qecptrailbuilding if you want a local digger to show you the marked trails and the off piste unmarked routes.

The QECP Collective, will be hosting our own gravity enduro race on 21st July 2013! It is sure to be a banger with prizes including a holiday for two with Pure Mountains in Spain’s Sierra Nevada(http://www.puremountains.com/ ), a pair of Marzocchi forks, Dainese pads, Exempt Clothing T shirts and much more up for grabs. Chris Smith has already signed up for the race which will be held on brand new, purpose built singletrack.
Bad Points
No bike shop in the park. LBS is Petersfield a few miles away.

Good Points
QECP has been extensively reworked by local trail builders and have turned it from and outdated loop of mundane single track into a fun fast and flowy red graded route with many features along the way such as berms, jumps and switchbacks. Its mainly chalk with a mix of soil and so when dry its fast and grippy but not quite so good when wet on the chalkier sections. But then thats what is great about QE its not just perfectly surfaced trails that don't have and features. Its got lots of roots which in places can be tricky to ride fast especially in the wet. But then thats what makes a great trail?! You want it to be challenged and if you can ride QE in the wet then in the dry and at other trails you will be much faster.

The red trail really does give you a great workout and allows you to enjoying riding. The 1st climb is hard but as you ride the red route its made worthwhile with lots of single track as a reward.
As QECP sits in the South Downs and has the South Downs Way run straight through the park is very easy to link up with other local trails that surround QE and branch off from the South Downs Way.
In all its a great red route thats definitely worth a couple of laps and its also worth exploring around the local area to make a days riding.
QE also offers a great cafe that is perfect after a days riding. Car parking is well priced at £2 a day and there its lots of space.

The future looks bright for QE as the passionate trail builders are really making some excellent progress and they are even holding Enduro and DH races in 2013. With this enthusiastic group pushing progress QE park will be getting more popular and has the potential to offer the best riding in the South!! Well worth a look around. Ride On!!
Bad Points
No Bike wash..yet. Can be a little slippery in the winter due to the mix of a little mud and chalk. But embrace the sloppiness and you will become a better rider and come summer time your speed will benefit!

QECP has come on over the years. One of the original trail centres it has in the last couple of years invested in a revised blue. It is now more modern as a blue (used to be a sharp up and boring down) similar in style to the Swinleyesque trend. The red has had new extensions also in the last few years and although sharp to climb it offers a few technical challenges getting up and a number of really fun small jumps and drops on the descents.

The park really comes into its own though when you head down the other side from the top of the blue or head left from the top of the red and hit the non-waymarked hand carved downhill descents. Here it gets steep, narrow, loose, off camber in places, really flowing in others and is dispersed with drops. It's a warren of grin-inducing lines. Love it.

Good Points
- Nice switchbacks
- Good workout due to sharp ups and downs
- Few neat jumps and kickers thrown in
- Fantastic downhill style hand carved non-waymarked trails.
Bad Points
- Waymarked trails a bit short given how much available terrain there seems
- chalk base makes it slippy and prone to mud in the wet.
