Verderer's Trail and local singletrack
I rode the Verderer's Trail a couple of times last week, we were lucky because the weather was good and it was bone dry. It's an enjoyable trail to ride, although it is all about the climb to the final descent. That said there are some fun bits on the way up to break the monotony of the climb. The final couple of sections though are just totally grin inducing, especially the last bermed sections. So fast and smooth I had a wide grin on my face.
After that we rode the Dowies trails nearby at Ellwood, you have to search them out, but you are treated to some really narrow smooth flowing singletrack, all totally natural, very enjoyable after the rock surfaces of the verderers.
What do you like?
Good facilities
Decent cafe and shop
well marked trails
great final descent
What could be improved?
A bit of a climb if you don't like that sort of thing (I don't mind!)
Car park gets very busy
Would you recommend?
*Yes*
