If you've not been, get yourself down! I was a bit intimidated first time but rolled it all and still had a blast!
What do you like?
What else is as much fun for £7 (for a non-member)
Chilled out during the week
Brilliant atmosphere at the race weekends
Good mix of man made and natural features that are great for beginners through to experienced
I've been riding for 5 months now and found my most improvement has come from taking on what's available at FJMTB
Good facilities and parking
The new dual slalom line is buckets of fun!
The push up is easier that most places I regularly ride.
Good central hub area to chill out between runs and have a beer.
What could be improved?
can't think of a single one from my experiences there.
Great place to ride day session or just a afternoon can fit a lot of runs in during the day and without fail you will have a laugh with the people there.
What do you like?
Great atmosphere all year round from races to just daily rides
Cheap to ride for the work gone into the trails and membership available
Great tracks all round for beginners through to the more experienced
Work is always being done on the tracks to improve the experience and if work is needed it is done
Races are always a laugh and the big weekend is great fun for everyone
What could be improved?
Tracks in the woods can be a bit hard to find due to how many there is but it isn't a issue as you can always switch the tracks up
Great place, if you haven't been definitely give it a go!
What do you like?
Good variety of trails for all abilities.
John always builds new exciting lines and maintains all trails in prime condition.
John and Jill are very friendly and helpful.
Great value for money.
The events organisation is spot on!
There's a caffe, bike wash, wc... what more can someone want?!
What could be improved?
No uplift but in the last year the push up track has been improved massively and is less muddy and much easier to get up.
In a nut shell if you enjoy riding DH/Freeride this should certainly be on radar and if your looking for something different.
The over night stay is perfect for a weekend away with the log burner to keep you warm on those wintery nights.

I've been visiting FJ's for some time now and over the years tails have appeared and disappeared. It's a great day out and with the added cafe now it makes all the difference. Knowing what's in store for the bike park in the future I'm really excited... even the added toilets closer to the trails so you get maximum time riding. John has tried to make the push up from the woods easier but with an uplift road I think this will also be difficult but worth the push! The joys of having a bike park and steep tech in the same location are ace and I know John is always open to new ideas.
What could be improved?
Push ups are always a sore point however I feel John and his team have tried to scope out the easiest push up route.
New comers may find location of trails a bit all over in their visit but this goes the more times you visit and learn the trails.
I can't go more frequently.
I still haven't found my red stone!
Skills development area would be cool
