Awesome bike park, fantastic staff ,insane freeride line

User Review

Good Points
Great bike park for intermediate riders and above , red mostly rollable ,black less so . Insane free ride line with huge features for the experienced rider. What really makes this place stand out are the staff tho ? Extremely friendly , experienced riders make sure you take the time to have a chat to Matthew , Cath and the other guys . Great value for money .

The place is rad, if you want to progress your riding and scare yourself in an adrenaline infused frenzy you need to go. Memberships are reasonably price and well worth the punt

Good Points
It’s the most raw bike park in the uk, offering a red and a Black DH line and 3 awesome freeride lines. The infamous Valhalla as been said to have he biggest north shore drop in the country.
Super friendly and experienced team running e place too
Bad Points
Access up to the woods I a bit sketchy in the cold and there is only a portaloo, but tbf I’d rather take a squatie anyway

oh guys where do I start.... From the people that built and tested the track, the riders, spectators and of course the owner are all top notch people. The trails are very well constructed, confidence inspiring and hugely rewarding.
I dare you to ride here and try your best to get to the bottom without smiling. You will lose the bet!

It is a shame that there is no uplift service, but you have got to remember that this place wasn't built with money but passion, so please bare this in mind, so man up, push up and ride like a bat out of hell! Well worth the effort.

For the people that don't like the 'bike park' type runs then the Beast will surely please, this is a very natural run and really demands your full attention.... Well it did for me anyway.... Especially the rock garden.....

Any way less babbling get out and ride!!!!!!!

Bad Points
As stated there isn't a lift to top
No posh toilet.... Only a basic hole in the ground... We're all adults right we can remember to go to the toilet before leaving home.
Parking is a little restricted with a rough road leading to it.

I am part of the build team up here at Cockhill so my opinions might be a but bias but I love the place.
looking up the hill on the Freeride side if the forest at all the wooden gaps, drops and bridges with all the green moss hanging off the tall pine trees you could be in the north shore in Canada ..... Maybe not haha but it has a great feel to the place. Currently a new BIGGER Freeride line being built, dirt jumps being tidied up for the summer and a few more steeper and technical downhill runs in the pipeline.

User Review

Good Points
The trails cater for a wide verity of rider ability levels.
It is rideable all year round due to the surfacing on the Red DH and Freeride trail.
Dirt jumps.
The Freeride lines are line nothing else in this part of the country.
Only a small area of the woods currently tapped into, 10 x the the area of where the current trails are is yet to be built on.
Friendly team of builders and local riders.
Bad Points
Parking is an issue at the moment that we are aware of and have plans to rectify.
Toilet facilities are far from that of a 5 star hotel but at the end of the day we are mountain bikers, in a forest and the facility is still in its infancy.
For those fat lazy mountain bikers out there... There is not yet and uplift service.

Such great building here, loads of variety especially for the experianced. OK you have to push back up but its only a shortish downhill - just over 2 mins if your flat out so you can get plenty of runs in. Half way up is the hut with Waynes superb coffee to keep you going.
