Overall excellent xc trail, superbly maintained by FC and volunteers, well sign posted trail that's a real mix of climbing and descent, only really suitable for the most confident and fittest of children under 10(Lanhydrock much more suitable for younger riders)

Good Points
Good trail for those wanting to get into mountain biking as blue trail can be ridden by anyone with reasonable level of fitness and a bit of nerve, lots of areas where can improve riding skills and some really enjoyable sections( the whip and the end section are pretty good for any level and Dailed in Dave down to bridge is just a flat out blast) small red section for more confident riders, not too difficult if you can handle steep and rocky switchbacks(and the climb!!) good parking, toilets, cafe etc... can be combined with Lanhydrock trails to make a total of 14ish miles of trail and about 4 miles of tarmac for a fair day of riding with some great scenery too if you take your eyes off the trail for a couple of seconds
Bad Points
Very busy at weekends, needs longer downhill and more red trail areas, really only one trail so gets repetitive, would be nice to have second blue loop running around outside of first

Good Points
1st time where really impressed, well signposted, great facilities, would definitely come back, and only fell off once ?? reasonably priced car parking, cafe etc.
Bad Points
None really, some of the route was closed for maintenance but well signposted, and these things have to be maintained so no problem.

I love Cardinham, it is the first trail that I rode and ride it as often as I can as it is great for a good workout.
The cafe is great (If not a little pricey, but aren't they always).
There are changing facilities but no shower which would be a welcome addition after a muddy ride.

Good Points
The blue trails are well maintained easy to follow with with fun fast downhill sections and tough but realistic uphill climbs.
The two red trails are easy to ride:
Dialed in Dave offers a bit of technical, drop off, rocky riding, nice sweeping curves offer good technical cornering on mixed ground.

Hell's Teeth has a hell of climb to get too, I have not managed to ride up to it but once you get to the top there is a worthwhile fun ride through the woods before you get to the steep downhill with nice tight turns, roots and depending on the time of year really mixed ground.

Dialed in Dave is fine for riders of all abilities whilst the downhill section of Hell's teeth really needs experience with tight steep turns.

The blue and Dialed in Dave trails are great for all skill levels as your speed will dictate the difficulty level.

There are changing facilities but no shower.

There is good parking (I would recommend getting a Forestry commission pass as it will save money if you are a regular user).

There are family friendly walks if your family is not up for the main ride routes.
Bad Points
The down side to Cardinham is the lack of trickier trails, once you have learned the course you will can only work on your speed.

The red trails are tame compared to most so anyone looking for a real challenge will leave disappointed

No real Jumps or really technical areas.

No Skills areas or pump track.

No Bike cleaning area.

I really enjoyed this place and would really like to get back soon. Trails are flowey and fun. not hugely technical, but if you're after something to make you grin and to test your basic skills at speed, this is great.

Great scenery. Will put a smile on your face!
Bad Points
Access to the two optional reds towards the end are very steep and lack grip. When it rains, it bloody rains!

I'm usually a roadie. Found the difficulty of the trails well suited to my basic skill set on a full sus bike. Compared to where I live (Surrey) this was very hilly but great fun. I'd recommend to anyone in the area and will defs be returning myself, the Mrs and kids did the Stickman trail and I went and did this one. Perfect.

Rode the beast for the umpteenth time 2 days ago and it never fails to put a grin on my face. Ok it's not that technical including all the reds but it's just good fun. In comparison to other centers I have ridden at it is up there with the leaders.
Bad Points
Some hatchbacks are to tight.

Good Points
Great venue for a quick fix, not to demanding or technical, dialled in dave (red) is worth doing to avoid the fire track. Hardly a red though. Hells teeth (red) is worth the effort if you like bursting your lungs to get to the start! A nice bit of quite steep down hill. I have done the whole circuit in about 50min's. including both Red sections. A great morning out and you can easily combine Cardingham with Llanhydrock which is just up the road. Good café and plenty of parking (£2 for 2 hours or £3 all day.
Would like to see more technical features and a separate Red trail with some black sections.
The track is in pretty good condition compared to other centres and no rooty bits!! so apart from my "bad points" below Cardingham is a great ride.
Bad Points
Most of the switchbacks on the uphill sections are far to tight and ruin the flow.
Some of the berms could do with being higher.

Good Points
Rode the Bodmin Beast today with the red extensions. Great little trail, climbs all fairly moderate (except for the Hells Teeth climb). All nice and fast and felt a bit like Blue Scar at Afan in places. I would say that the 'Dialled in Dave' is a bit easy for its red grade, was more like a blue to me, but was nice and flowy with some fun little step ups to test your skills. I wouldn't bother doing the blue bit instead of 'Dialled' as it's mostly fire road going down hill! If you have got that far then 'Dialled' will be fine. Hells Teeth much more deserving of its red grade. The climb is nasty. I pushed about half of it! The downhill section is great, fast flowy bits and lots of tight switchbacks to test your skill. A great little loop just off the A30. Coffee and cakes at the cafe recommended, and there was even a fantastic mobile workshop from Trailmunki in the car park. Bled my back brake for me and adjusted my rear mech for a very reasonable £20.00. Will only be there at Weekends and half terms over the winter though.
Bad Points
None, although not a technical trail.

Took bike for holiday in Cornwall, after first day with a stead ride down the camel trail followed by a lap of the blues at Lanhydrock trail centre, I was not expecting anything more than a few steady tame trails, could not be more wrong!

The Blue bodmin beast is probably closer to an average Red trail at other centres! After the first mile or so of a good solid climb up I was loving the flow around the next 4-5 miles of undulating singletrack mixed in with a few sections of firetrails.

Very tranquil, beautiful scenery set near an old mine in the wooded valley. Also recommend the longer trail walk that takes in some stunning views. (Combine all the trails to get about a 7-8 mile route with a few sharp climbs).

Best mountain biking that I know of in Cornwall, will certainly be visiting again next time I am down that way on!

Good Points
Blue nice and progressive, warms up into some nice following technical descents
2x reds for more adventurous (read as extremely fit for Hells teeth climb!)
Bodmin beast just the right length to get a couple of laps in
Car Parking reasonable at £2 for 2 hours or £3 for all day
Bad Points
Hells teeth (20% avg climb!) needs very low gearing, 1x10 setups will probably be pushing!
No full dedicated Red trail only 2 diversions off the Bodmin beast trail
