Description

Hells Hole is a small loop on the Scottish Borders compromising mostly of fire road with one short descent through the woods. There is a small car park with a picnic bench. Local knowledge has it that the name Hells Hole referred to a deep and dangerous pool that used to be located here in the Catlee Burn.

Trail

  • Take a steady spin up the forest road that will bring you to the downhill section. Enjoy the swoopy singletrack and beware of the quarry. A short 3 km of track.
  • Would best be done along with nearby trails at Kielder or Newcastleton.

Good little loop

Rode here on our way to Kielder, was a short climb up the fire road to the start of the red descent. Wasnt bad, nothing challenging but had a good flow to it. worth a visit only if passing by or if you are in the area riding. feel there could have been a bit more singletrack built here as last bit was fire road down to the car park

What do you like?

flowed well

What could be improved?

short

Would you recommend?
