Description
Clyne Valley Country Park on the western edge of Swansea is home to a mix of mountain bike riding, including three waymarked XC trails managed by Swansea Council and the Clyne Valley Community Project, and the Moos Trails dirt jump facility maintained by local volunteers. The three official XC trails (Clyne Climb, Miller's, and Sanitised Strip) underwent a full refurbishment by On Track in early 2025, commissioned by Swansea Council and Gower National Landscape.

The XC Trails
- Miller's (red, 6km): The main XC loop through Clyne Valley, featuring berms and tabletop-style jumps. One of the original trails in the network.
- Sanitised Strip (blue, 1.2km): The longest individual trail in the network, with flowing switchback berms and a short uphill section two-thirds of the way through.
- Clyne Climb (blue): The primary climb for the network, steep in places. Also known locally as Millers Crossing at the descent end.
- Access is via the tarmac cycle track from Mill Lane car park. Follow it uphill to the lake and the trail starts on the left just past the lake.
- The three trails are also collectively known as the Millers XC route. Trailforks lists nine trails in Clyne Valley Woods in total, including unsanctioned lines alongside the official three.
Moos Trails Dirt Jumps
- Moos Trails is a volunteer-built dirt jump facility in the woods at Clyne. The jump park has multiple progressive lines including a main line with twelve jumps, a 270 berm and step-up, and a flow line with six jumps and large berms. There is also a mini line with berms suitable for less experienced riders.
- Moos Trails are only open in dry conditions. Check the Moos Trails Facebook group for current status and opening updates before visiting.
Local Organisation
- The Clyne Riders Facebook group is the local riding community covering both the XC trails and Moos Trails. The Clyne Valley Community Project works with Swansea Council to maintain and develop the trail network and the wider country park.
