The GAP (Glencullen Adventure Park) is a purpose-built gravity bike park in the Dublin mountains, with an uplift service across two zones and around 32 named trails from blue through to black, plus a dedicated skills area near reception. The park keeps adding and reshaping trails as it grows, so there's usually something new since your last visit. The site also has a short walking trail past a megalithic tomb for non-riders in your group.

The Trails

• The park is split into two uplift-served zones, linked by an uplift road and a separate pedal-up trail for riders who'd rather earn their own climb. The first zone, nearest reception, is the smoother and more flowing of the two; the second, further into the hill, is steeper and more technical.
• Trails carrying a Plus grade feature a high frequency of bike park style features, jumps, drops or gaps that require, or actively encourage, a rider's wheels to leave the ground.

Facilities

• Reception and rental (including e-bikes) at the entrance, a dedicated skills area, and an uplift fleet of five vans running from two collection points. The on-site kitchen restaurant uses locally sourced ingredients and simple cooking, worth a stop for the beef burgers with in-house relish. Guides, Shuttles and Hire

The GAP is its own uplift operator: vans run from two collection points, Lakeside and Farside, covered by the half day and full day passes, alongside a pedal-up option for riders who would rather climb under their own power.

• The GAP (Glencullen Adventure Park): van uplift across two zones, mountain bike hire, and coaching, all based at the park entrance on Ballybrack Road. A weekday uplift pass runs from €25 for a half day to €40 for a full day, weekend passes from €35 to €50, and bike hire from €40 for a half day. A €2 car park charge applies, and pedal-up-only access is €7 booked online or €9 at the desk.

Getting There from the UK

The GAP sits on the Dublin and Wicklow border, so Dublin is the obvious way in. Ferries from Holyhead and Liverpool dock at Dublin Port, about a 30 minute drive from the park. Fishguard and Pembroke sail to Rosslare, roughly two hours south, and the Cairnryan to Belfast crossing leaves a further two hour drive south from there. Dublin Airport is by far the nearest by air, about 45 minutes away, well ahead of Shannon, Cork or Ireland West Knock on the other side of the country.
