After a huge response from mountain bikers to the Welsh Government's access consultation in late 2015, they have been inviting suggestions as to how a reformed access system could work. We've prepared a joint response with Cycling UK which sets out how access could be opened up.
OpenMTB have prepared a joint response with Cycling UK which sets out how access could be opened up across the existing Rights of Way network - a huge increase in the number of trails available for mountain bikers to ride, guide or hold events on.

In order for such dramatic reforms to succeed, they need the support of our network all across the UK. So please tell your groups and riding buddies to fill in and share the customisable letter to the Welsh Government at www.cyclinguk.org/trails-for-wales.

You can read the OpenMTB and Cycling UK's joint response in full at http://www.cyclinguk.org/blog/mark-slater/trails-wales. You can also find out more at OpenMTB's new  website, at http://openmtb.org.uk/news/trails-for-wales
