Rossendale Council Calls for Volunteers To Put Lee Quarry Back on the Map

In case you didn't know a new volunteer group has been going since April called the Friends of Lee & Cragg Quarries. There's already a full maintenance crew with regular dig days, lots of supporters and local businesses eager to offer their help.

Like this?

Heartening to see that Rossendale Borough Council have just done a call-out to drive more volunteers to the group.

"You can help in many ways, its not just about physical work; advice on trail building, supporting any funding/sponsorship requests etc. 🚵‍♂️Lets help put Lee Quarry back on the map!"

If you are local, why not get involved and lend a hand? It's as much about the social, investing in something for the community, the sense of community, being out in nature, the much better riding of the back of it on your doorstep, the sheer fun of being a volunteer than just the help you can give and you can give that help in so many ways (it's not all hard graft). It's a unique and brilliant ride venue with lots of potential.
