Forestry England has removed AKA flattened the mountain bike trails at Wych Lodge in Taunton near the Quantock hills.

Wych Lodge MTB trails also known as Orchard Portman trails is a community run trail spot led by a team of volunteers in what we believed to be in cooperation with Forestry England. It had several downhill tracks.
Again it seems that lack of formal representation and protection means the work so many folk put into trail development is often baked into an informal rather than formal agreement and so in constant jeopardy of flattening.
