The Cycling Facilities Fund, administered by Sport Scotland and Scottish Cycling, aims to capitalize on the growing interest in cycling following the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. With a total of 45 facilities now funded, the initiative has led to over £13 million invested in cycling infrastructure across Scotland when including contributions from local partners. These new developments are expected to provide accessible community and club facilities, inspiring both new and existing cyclists to embrace the sport for life. The projects will share a total of £480,722 from the fund, allowing for a total investment of £954,903 across the four locations.

Daniel Mintz founder of iBikeRide says:

"These are welcome and great investments and focus on bringing new riders and children into the sport. It is as important though if we want to create the next generation of Cycling World Champions that Sport Scottland and Scottish Cycling continue to invest in a pathway beyond the pump tracks and blues, which includes investments in progressively more technical and advanced trails"
