Dyemill Bike Park in Arran, Scotland which only recently opened has taken the smart move to install a public access defibrillator ready for emergency use and critical injury pack for major bleeds.

From their post:

"We now have a public access defibrillator installed ready for emergency use. In the cabinet is a Cardiac science fully automatic powerheart g5 with iCPR technology which provides real-time CPR feedback on the quality of chest compressions. There is also pediatric pads and a cpr face mask and gloves.

We also have a critical injury pack for major bleeds in an adjacent cabinet. This is not a regular first aid kit and should only be used for life threatening bleed injuries.

Both cabinets are locked. Now registered, Scottish ambulance service can tell you the access code when you dial 999.

If you do use any emergency equipment please get in touch so we can replace it asap."

I think this is still less common than common but is becoming more so which is good. Let us know if your local ride spot has one and we will add it to their listing.
Here are a few other bits while talking about this ace new ride spot:
  • Although already open to ride the official Open Day event with ribbon cutting etc is Saturday 17th August 2024 which if you are local check out as sure to be a fun day of biking celebration.
  • Adjacent to their open shelter they now have a Park Tool THS 1.2 Trail Head Workstation and Saris Infrastructure outdoor public bike pump.
