Relaxed guiding in Snowdonia or on any of the classic, bucket list UK natural trails - we regularly work in the Lakes, Mid Wales, Brecon Beacons, Peak, Dartmoor and even Scotland.

We're proud to say that we actually wrote the guidebook for Wales (and a few other UK areas) , and Tom has been the main route researcher for MBR Magazine for 15 years, so we're more than qualified to show you the best 'natural' trails in our local area (Snowdonia) or further afield (Wales, Scotland, Lakes etc).

But we're equally as happy guiding or instructing at the best of Britain's amazing Trail Centres - Coed y Brenin, Marin and Penmachno are all on our doorstep, but South Wales isn't so far way and we love the Scottish ones too.

Our Ultimate Scotland Road Trip weeks have received rave reviews - 6 days of bucket list natural trails from the Cairngorms, through Torridon to Skye and Fort Willam. And our  'Classic Bagging' weekends will kick off this summer.

All our weekend breaks and holidays are about mixing the best riding with a lot of socialising and fun.

We don't mind what ability level our customers are when they come to us. We're sure they'll leave with a smile on their face and tired legs. And hopefully with a few new skills in their back pack too.

With an enigmatic and down to earth style, Tom easily melts away any pre mtb stress and progresses the day in an easy and logical way - to build confidence and skills to achieve personal and group objectives. Always there to offer a positive comment, but not in any way overbearing...a perfect balance of professionalism, but approachable, extensively experienced, but able to empathise with a mix of riders. Thoroughly enjoyed a recent guided day with other ladies, of mixed experience but good fitness. We all had a really worthwhile day out and Tom was able to give each person something to work on, in their own riding. Great stuff, thanks Tom

Good Points
Day was well set up and information readily available when needed.
Thorough but relaxed briefing to start the day – informative, set objectives, covered statutory issues, well prepared, set a happy tone for the day.
Excellent route plan choice to allow confidence and skills to naturally build - with skills sessions and demos appropriately fed in to the progress of the day.
Relaxed timings (good route plan) to allow for breaks, discussion and the day did not feel rushed or objectives inappropriate.
Humour, positive language, listened to questions, took advantage of teaching opportunities when they arose
Bad Points
No bad points on this day at all

Good Points
Despite being a reasonably skilled mountain biker already, I was not particularly confident with steep, rocky downhill single-track riding. I spent an afternoon with Tom at the Nant yr Arian trails trying to improve my technique so that I could feel happier about doing this. He was very patient with me, even when I lost my nerve a couple of times and nearly fell off into the scenery! So by the end of the day my downhill skills had improved a lot and we then went to the pub to celebrate. Tom is a great guy and a excellent teacher. I would really recommend him.

Good Points
Our school group of eight teenagers had a fantastic weekend mountain biking in the Coed y Brenin trail centre in North Wales. The guides were very professional, great fun, and very competent. Tom even cooked us breakfasts! The trails we were taken on were perfectly appropriate to our mix of abilities: plenty of testing stuff and plenty of easier stuff too. Even the weather cooperated. It really couldn't have gone any better. An excellent time was had by all, so we hope to do exactly the same thing next year: Great guiding, great trails, wonderful weekend!
