Endeavour MTB Coaching Hamsterley Forest

I've been riding round trail centres for a couple of years and managed to wobble my way round most things on the red and the black routes I however was finding that without proper technique I couldn't reach the next level without repetetively falling off and damaging myself or my bike.

I booked a session with Max and worked on the core techniques using video play back to see where I wasn't doing things quite right. We then went to out all of this into practise on the trails round Hamsterly and by the end of the day I had done quite a few sections that i have bottled before.

The day was relaxed and Max is a good communicator in his coaching and he is also good company out on the trail.

All in all a very good experience and money well spent!

A really enjoyable and informative coaching session. Spent the morning working on basic techniques (manuals, bunny hops, jumps etc) with Max providing excellent feedback using video replays to help analyse and fine tune what I was doing. The afternoon was spent riding and sessioning parts of the Red and Black trails at Hamsterley, this allowed the techniques to be put into practical use.

The coaching received made a big improvement to me on the day and also left me with the ability to self analyse my technique.

As well as being a good coach Max was a pleasure to have as a riding partner for the day.

I'll put it simply- I learned what I wanted to learn. Great day, even rain didn't spoil it:)

book a day one on one at the descend bike Park, learned a lot berns, drop off and choosing the correct line and was very please with what I was doing by the end of the day, just need to practice the skills he taught Now !!!! will be back again at some point

It was an awesome day i learnt so much I hit jumps I would not have imagined myself doing and was able to ride corners and switchbacks so much smoother and faster. Max is a really nice guy who would not expect you to do things and would encourage you.

I enjoyed every part of this day, Max is a great lad to get on with, this makes it easier to learn from him. He shows you what to do, then why you do it he will watch (record) you then play back and show you where you went wrong and how to improve. also set up with bike, had loads of fun and was jumping further and doing bigger drops then I would normally try, and landing smooth. also by changing my riding position gives so much more control. I would highly recommend Max as a coach he has helped me with confidence and gave me things to work on in my future rides. another thing food is so cheap and nice at the cabin in the car park.

My self and my friend are both mature riders and we contacted Max for a two to one training day to increase or skills and confidence , Max took the time to instruct both of us individually at our own pace which meant we never felt pressurised or intimidated by the obstacles we tackled at any time. Max had me riding faster, jumping higher and further, popping over trail obsticles and railing corners like I had never done before and more importently I was so relaxed and confident that I found myself actually enjoying the runs and having fun instead of being in survival mode and feeling lucky to arrive at the bottom in one piece as was the case previously. I would thoroughly recommend endeavour coaching for anyone of any ability , Max is a brilliant coach with great teaching skills and a great guy to know which makes the day so enjoyable and a fun way to learn. I personally can't wait to get back up to Hamsterley for another session with Max to take my riding to the next level.

Max was really good at adapting the teaching to suit - he has a wide range of sites to use throughout Hamsterley, and will select the most suitable for the current lesson. I found myself hitting jumps and drops with more confidence as the lesson went on, culminating in clearing the big tabletop on the top of the DH track, that I've always looked at. Sun was out and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Have more recently visited the DH tracks again, and the lesson with Max really helped.

I contacted Max to discuss the aspects of my riding that concerned me and he used that to make sure all the basics of bike set-up and techniques of positioning on the bike were covered right at the start. His instructions were very clear and he used demos to break down the various aspects of riding. What impressed me most with Max was that his attitude and manner were spot on. He encouraged me and my ride buddy to use the techniques we learned in small sections of the Hamsterley trails. When I really knew and appreciated the value of his coaching was when I went out riding a couple of days later with a more experienced rider. My confidence on technical descents has massively improved and so has my control of the bike. I can't recommend Endeavour Coaching highly enough and personalised sessions for 2-3 riders represents terrific value for money. If you want to ride safer, faster and better this could easily be the best upgrade you can have.
