Great facilities, cheap day out, trails are cool. Lot of maintenance seems to get done during prime riding time, and is volunteer led so trails can be shut for a while. Can feel a bit elitist too.
Good points:
If you love tech downhills, or want a well waymarked flowing XC trail, it’s a great place to visit. Great cafe and it’s also free (once you’re parked)
Bad points:
The trails are very technical as they’ve been hammered for decades, so whenever a flow trail is built it becomes very worn very fast with high traffic. As the trail maintenance is volunteer led, that maintenance takes longer than other places and happens more in summer when they can get more volunteers (and when it’s prime riding time!)
The uphill is steep too, it’s a slog getting to the top (not for the XC loops though!) and attracts a lot of e bikers, so you will find yourself pulling over often and waiting for them to pass, which can be annoying after a while.
