iBikeride.com will be supporting the Big Bike Bash http://ibikeride.com/iBikeride.com-suppo...e-Big-Bike-Bash.html on the 22nd and 23rd August in the New Forest in Hampshire by providing a technical tent to provide the public and event entrants with advice and information on all manner of technical and mechanical advice. We are hoping to be sponsoring some cool races too.

We need people to come and join in the fun of the day and also volunteers to to take part in what I think will be funest and most important day for the site in the year.

More info is here http://ibikeride.com/iBikeride.com-suppo...e-Big-Bike-Bash.html

Get in ocntact with our man Buster http://ibikeride.com/buster/profile.html?Itemid=0 if you want to help out in any way

Folks it's getting closer and I'm guessing your holiday plans are more known and so we are looking to know who's around and able to sign up to the weekend and help man the iBikeRide tent 22-23 August 09 and so make the event great? The Big Bike Bash is whole weekend of riding events with a beer festival and music festival too. iBikeRide are manning a maintenance themed tent with our own Sparky handing out advice. It will be an opportunity to meet lots of new bikers, encourage kids into the sport, enter some events, spread the word about iBikeRide and have loads and loads of fun. www.bigbikebash.co.uk/

Hi there, just bought my tickets for BBB in August. I am more than happy to help out but would like to have the time to do some rides and spend some time with the family. Let me know, cheers, Lee

I spoke to nick today the organiser. I was interested in what was available for the xc whippet and seasoned rider. Here is an update from him

There will be 'proper' XC racing with a race whippet category for the 'seasoned rider' as you put it. There are some great prizes to win there as well. We are also thinking of a 'devil take the hindmost' short XC race where the last few riders get eliminated each lap which should promote some real race spirit. We are going to have a team competition if that interests you. 4 people to a team, compte as individuals in as many events as you like but for certain events you teams scorers are added up and the team with the highest score wins. Details to be confirmed.

Tickets haven't sold out yet but please buy yours soon to avoid disappointment.

Night ride confirmed and sponsored so lots of nice lights to win.

Looking good. Some friends of mine with their kids are joining too, Sparky is manning the Mr fix it tent (and doing some riding I'm sure) Mint is there with his family so I think it is going to be a really fun weekend be you with kids or not.

Fancy getting a team together? ....

Any suggestions for marketing material for the day.

I was thinkign of getting some flyer post cards done and also some bike stickers, branded puncture repair kits.

Any suggestions also for suppliers be great.

Anyone fancy helping with Design / design ideas? Phil I like how you have used the brand on the wallpapers? Think it could work really well for a sticker.

Dan, try vistaprint. I used them before when I set up a website a couple of years ago and got some wicked business cards. Check out their site, they do A5 leaflets, car size magnets, brochures, and much more. Best of all, their prices are really cheap too!

I have an account, so let me know and I can order them for you. Also if you need a hand on designing, give me a shout

Cheers

Folks,

Firstly iBikeRide really support the BBB and what it stands for and encourages you to come along.

Unfortunately though I have been unable to muster support to manage a stand and support the marshalling of races as I had wished. I guess it is not a great time of year with peoples committments and the site is still only small and reasonably young and in some ways only really beginning to gel. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew. Sometimes you need to face reality.

Hence although I will be going down I will only be going as a willing participant and individual to race, contend, be silly, complain about camping, listlen to bands, attempt bad wheelies, get drunk, make some new riding buddies and have a generally mad biking weekend. I will not be going as iBikeRide. I apologise sincerely to all involved.

If you are there then please look me up. I'm easy to spot I'm the bald stumpy git who does bad wheelies but wont stop trying.
