Thanks Everyone for your responses.
Stumpy_Dan - I have actually had an email from Ian Warby. there are courses comming soon to Queen Elisabeth Country Park soon. Alternatively there are courses not too far away near Guildford. Thanks for the invite up north but my wings are kinda clipped at present so i cant really get away. i will bear it in mind.

Gregsd - your _link_s led me to Ian Warby as recommended by stumpy_dan. I had found some of them on my own but not all. Thanks for that. PS I plan on riding from Goldalming through to Liss on Saturday morning, we take the train up and cycle back.

Waynerock - Thanks for your kind words and offer. My bike is pretty new - so i will let the shop do its first "free" service then i will pick up the bits and pieces as bits fall off. i will keep my hand in with regular maintenance and hopefully stay ahead of the game.

Quinny - thanks for the Brighton tip.

Buster, I'd be interested if you have anymore details of the courses that are going to be offered in QE Park.

How'd the ride go on Saturday and which route did you take? I often head south of Haslemere and do routes around Ludshott Common, Marley Common and up on Blackdown. If you, or anyone else fancies a ride from Godalming then you can join one of the Sunday rides that the club - VCGH I'm involved with organise.

Thanks for the offer Greg.
You can either email Ian Warby ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it )or wait till he mails me back then i'll let you know.
If he reliases there is a groundswell of enthusiastic guys waiting for a course it may hurry things along a bit.

My ride was great. the mud and sand was frozen so my time was spectacular, my buddy dropped out friday night so i was solo. i didnt even need the usual rest at the top of the punch bowl. I needed a few turns to find the right way out of wagoners wells but no sweat there either.
Later.
