I just been to the little DJ spot in eastcote village (NW london). 'hayden bumps' we called it back in my BMX days. This place dates back to the 80's so im not sure how suitable the doubles would be for 26" wheels - ill take pics next time.

Then i moved north to northwood gravel pits - a few more ancient small jumps (i saw 6 maybe), some with long & steep run-ups, but its more of an miniature urban XC place really. There is LOADS of potential here for jumps/drops - you can see ancient trails snaking about everywhere, long since overgrown or blocked. But building/renovating much is probably out of the question, since the nature people seem to be out in full force - to their credit theyve left some jumps & havent ruined everything with their non-sustainable wooden steps etc so its possible they are either bikers themselvrd or just quite lazy. Again, ill post pics next time - i dont want anyone to waste a journey and leave dissapointed.

go 2.5km NWW

dingles
in the woods next to/east of montesole playing fields in pinner green. bit of a rough area IIRC.

go 1.5km SSW

joel street (aforementioned hayden bumps) -by the roadside SE of haydon hall in litte eastcote.

mixed vid of dingles & joel street - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w06Zbiiv2v0
doesnt do either justice. have to get those pics taken sometime...

forget about the overgrown gravel pit i mentioned in the previous post - theres only a few very small & battered doubles left - not worth it unless your in the nearby woods anyway, which dont have many interesting features... yet.
