I'm looking for your top trail and xc routes, in rated order and then I'm going to survey and or interview them (if they are a trail cetnre) to do a useful comparison review

Mine are:
Glentress (red and black run)
Innerleithen
Black Mountains South Wales
Afan (Whites Level and the Wall)
CMWCARN Cross Country

Feel free to post why your top one is your top one also. I love Glentress because it has everything, fantastic challenging climbs, a long flowing downhill with berms, switchbacks, drops, gaps, shore, steps a cool cafe, amazing scenery and a great shop and a hotel next door that dries your kit, the lot. It is my Mecca

Once I have a decent list I'll launch a poll for voting on different criteria for them..

OK mine are:

Climachx (sheer rush)
Afan (above plus good atmosphere)
Lakes classic trail (sheer beauty and you can't beat the unknown for testing oyur skill)
Chicksands XC (great warm up with fun bits all around)

cmwcarn (best xc there is)
dalby forest ( good xc and fun jump park)
brechfa- gorlech red ( best views and some great berms and jumps)
coed-y-brenin (good ups and good rock skills down)
bedgebury ( good winter xc and fun freeride/dirit jump park )

afan just gets it... the cafe is the best after a good time in the hills. whites just has something about it that makes you want more and more, you can do the wall, and then get two whites in, in a day
top ride for me and good day out cli-machx is cool tho!!!

My favourites rides are as follows:

1. Afan - Whites Level...(more so now with the new Energy section) Just love everything about this trail..most definately my Mecca.
2. Afan - The Wall, love the climb (Sick or what!)love the descent even more!
3. The ClimacX - Again love the climb...gets shorter every time. The descent still the best...just can't get enough of the switchback berms.
4. Bedgebury - Really get a kick out of riding here.. has no big clims or massive descents, but gives me enough to play with and a great place for me to "safely" practice all my skills(freeride area) And I can take my kiddie with me and she loves the red route too!
5. CwnCarn - The hardest XC route to date that I personaly know. I am still yet to conquer and complete all of the first climb, but will keep persevering...My goal of 2008! Brill descent love both the red and black on this ride coming down.
6. Thetford - Good ol'flat Norfolk. But such a cool place to have a wicked day out riding with my daughter... The Beast here we come...again...and again...and again!!!
7. Yet to find

Whites Level has to be my number one; Have had so much fun, laughter, sweat and tears (bruises, bumps and blood!!) What more could you ask for Just the best to climb with such reward and the desent with its ever changing terrain keeps you thinking ahead all the time.
