OK. If you upload it will accept files up to 45mb (maybe more but not tried yet) and it automatically publishes them (in the background) in the time it takes to boil a kettle and have a nice brew (about 15 mins).

Video service is now launched. Hurrah!! Upload you your own or _embed_ 3rd party videos. 100mb limit & Vid automatically ready 15min after upload. Tons already there to choose, rate and comment on.

All those featured today are from waynerock64. Great quality and some of my favourite trails in the UK including the renowned and the famous The Wall (100% grin factor).

Just new..
If you double click a video once loaded in the main video page it will go to Full Screen mode .

NB This applies to videos help on the iBikeRide server. If it is a third party video it will just _link_ you back to the third party site.

Also once you upload a video you can go back and edit the name and de_script_ion at any time. Next to your videos in the main video section you will see a little pencil icon. click and you can edit.

Folks

The Video service has had an upgrade and a face lift.

1) Upload limit extended to 500mb
2) A much higher encoding rate for better quality output (NB the fewer conversions you do of file types before the better).
3) Quicker publishing on the site after upload (on average within 10 minutes).. brought down from 15 minutes plus
4) You can now rate and comment on the video whilst still watching the video (previously it would reload the page when you did either, so it would interrupt your viewing and start form the beginning. Was annoying. Also the comments system is upgraded to the same comments system used throughout the site.
5) Each video shows the Code to _embed_ the video on your own blog, website, Facebook or Myspace account etc.
6) A bigger p_layer_ with more playback controls (e.g much easier and clearer to go to full screen, you can pause and play the video by clicking on the main _frame_ like youtube)
7) _title_s and de_script_ions are much easier to read and more characters for de_script_ions are allowed than before.
8) Loads and loads of social bookmarking _link_s (if you see one not there just holler) so you can add easily to your provider.
9) Advertising is now there in the page but hopefully not too intrusively placed and will hopefully raise some cash for the next upgrade (after this one imminently I am already planning). FEEL FREE TO CLICK
10) An iBikeRide logo subtly in top right hand column to help spread the word and bring users in.
11) A choco rose template scheme to add a dash of colour to our pages and give it a face lift. If you do or don't like it let me know I haven't tested preferences for it I just liked it.
12)Best of all you can now add ibikeride videos to your blogs and have them _embed_ded. To do this just look for the video id (i.e. the numbers) at the end of video url and add this to your Blog where you want it to go

That's all i can remember but thats enough.

NB: iBikeRide does not keep a copy of your original video. we delete it to maintain space. We just store the newly converted video. Keep your own copy secure
