Folsk,
Phil mentioned to me yesterday why don't we do Podcasts and so I thought why not. The service is in Beta but launched and working and LIVE
First what on earth is a Podcast?
A podcast is a series of audio or video digital-media files which is distributed over the Internet by syndicated download, through Web feeds, to portable media p_layer_s and personal computers. Though the same content may also be made available by direct download or streaming, a podcast is distinguished from other digital-media formats by its ability to be syndicated, subscribed to, and downloaded automatically when new content is added._object_ives.
a)) We (ie us) aggregate all the best mtb podcasts out there. So please point them out.
b) We as a community create our own as a great means to communicate whilst mobile and out and about.
How it works..
On the bottom left of all pages you can subscribe to the podcast feed (this is like any RSS) feed. From this _link_ you can either view or download the podcast. YOu cna also put the _link_ in your RSS reader or Googly typew homepage and it will automatically ping you whenever a new one is posted.
Here's a direct _link_ to the feed
http://ibikeride.com/index2.php?option=com_podcast&feed=RSS2.0&no_html=1I am also posting new podcasts as articles so they can be viewed on the site. There are a couple I'm testing out there and I will shortly make a specific menu _link_ in "posts" for these. I will post again when I have done this
It will take a while to build a data_base_ so a) bear with us b) contribute

. If you come across any cool mtb podcasts send me on a _link_ and I will check it out. Going forward I will enable you to upload directly youirselves but that is another phase.
Also soon to launch is an iBikeRide itunes page (well why not) so you can download them direct to you pod really easy.
And if like me you didn't really know what a podcast was until well yesterday. Have a look at this:
