The left hand menu has gone. I've done this because
a) the top menu is more than adequate and now contains all the _link_s the left hand one had anyway
b) the left hand menu did not work on some browsers
c) I'm on a campaign to reduce the amount of words and copy on the homepage to make it look cleaner for existing and new users. You'll notice I've cut loads of copy of the homepage the last few days
d) It means that your profile picture, log in box and which members online indicator move up the page which I think is nicer.

I know how much people hate menu chnages and it is a pain to get used to but the old menu was growing too big and didn't work half the time making the site really off putting to new users particularly

NB Search is up the very top of the page now.

I'm still testing this across browsers. Shout if you see a problem
