Volunteers for Site Editors Posted at 2008/04/10 17:19 Karma: 8
Folks,

I am wondering if anyone would like to get involved in being an editor on the site here?

Basically the role(s) are ones that can be shared and involves the following type of things

1) Helping with queries when they come in e.g. questions on how to load up videos, how to edit and put a blog into draft, formating blogs, maybe adding a picture or just editing profiles. Pretty straight forward stuff if you use the site often.

These questions can be answered when seen posted in the forum (I might set up a help forum category specifically) or by Private message sent directly or by inviting the user who needs guidance into one of the chat rooms to talk through.

2) Another way is to help to convert the increasing number of great industry press releases into articles. So this means copying and pasting the email body into a content editor interface and uploading / adding photo's as relevant. This is a bit more involved but easy once you get going and I would give training as to how this is done.

If people are interested then I will look to set up a process to make this work smoothly. It may be I issue a few admin user names and passwords or it may be more fun to raise your status on the site so people can see you are Editors and contact you direct with queries. I also would recommend that any question answered or article edited is publically signed by the editor.

If you are interested or have any suggestions then do Private message me.
