iBikeRide is a community for riders to learn, connect and share knowledge, in order to push our biking boundaries

iBikeRide is a new social networking mountain bike site with high quality and well presented useful user generated content. It attracts riders across all biking disciplines from trail, downhill, shore, dirt, trial and freeriding. Hence it is targeted at 13 - 45 year olds, both men and women. iBikeRide is aimed at enthusiasts as well as catering strongly for beginners.

In essence iBikeRide.com is a site committed to helping riders push their boundaries and move their biking skills forward. We do this through a 4 fold ethos of; a) Learn, b) Connect and Practice and c) Share.

  • To break this down;

    • Learn – iBikeRide.com has and is working to maintain one of the best knowledge bases of skills, maintenance, training, trail articles and video tutorials.
    • Connect and Practice – iBikeRide.com is creating and fostering an approachable and friendly community of riders with mixed abilities and from mixed riding disciplines to connect through so many fun ways on line and then meet up in the real world and put these skills into practice.
    • Share - iBikeRide.com then encourages these riders to come back and share their learned knowledge and experiences back into the community so the knowledgebase and skills grows even further

    The cycle is sweet and it works in real life. We have had trail/xc riders meet with shore and free-riders to learn new skills as well as downhillers learn the pleasures and technical challenges of riding their bikes up hillSMILEYS_WINK. So be you wanting to learn the bunnyhop, the wheelie, drops, manuals, how to best train for a race, change that bottom bracket or are a newbie and just wondering how to get started then iBikeRide.com could be your place.

  • iBikeRide is new, original, approachable, a rich resource and knowedge base and as exciting as any extreme sport site out there today. More we believe we are onto something here that is benefiting the mtb community.

In December 07, April, August and December 08 iBikeRide was featured in the reputable IMBA (International Mountain bike Association) newsletter and website and has also been featured in the February 2008 and the January 2009 edition of the leading MBR (Mountain Bike Rider) glossy magazine. One of our reviews of the HogHill (Redbridge Cycling Centre) also got featured in November 2008 on the industry leading CTC website (the largest cycling organisation in the UK).
